Maybe I am on the wrong forum

Is this forum only about rescue???
I have a 19 year old samoyed/mix and I have been searching for support, mostly emotional, I know he can't live forever:cry: , and some health questions as well.
So I am on the wrong forum for what I need????

Great pics of Dusty. You are in the right place. This is a forum about all things Samoyed. Most of us do Rescue and have had the breed in our lives for many years :lol2: . We can get together to answer your questions.

Jim yes I am interested, please send the info.
Dusty is pretty healthy for his age. He has some arthritis and he has a neck tumor that was removed and has come back. He don't see as good but still can see and his teeth aren't so good. My biggest worries about him is he has been falling a lot,well it is more like a slide to the floor and not able to get back up by himself and he has been looseing weight. The vet says Dusty is doing great but I still worry a lot.
In the past year he has a lot of accidents with his pottying. Which brings me to some thing I found kind of funny. I have a chihuahua puppy and in our room I have a small litter pan with a pee pad in it. Dusty has never been trained to any thing but going out side, well the other night Dusty stood over the pan and peed on the pad. He was very proud of himself too, he pranced right over to me for his praise.
I just can't imagine my life with out him!

Dusty sound like a fine gentleman who is trying real hard to deal with his senior years. I hope he gives you many more years of pleasure being part of your life.
