I'm sure some of you have heard of the blind girl in one of our shelters. There has been several post on different sites including one on SRL from *** . Heather Loporto sent a couple of e-mails and a couple from local shelter volunteers. I had ready made it clear that SRSC was taking this girl. Will one of my members was at the Downey Shelter 10 minutes before they opened this morning and noticed a couple of rescue people there as well. As soon as the shelter opened there doors, these people rushed over to the blind girls cage. Meanwhile our member went directly to the front desk aware of what was going on and paid for the girl. Thank god the people that work at the shelter new our member as she has been there several times checking on this girl.
The shelter gave her the name Sweetie and that she is. We hope someone will open their hearts and give Sweetie a wonderful home.
