$500 SUBSIDY to help rescuers cover part of the cost of insurance

WEBINARS are beginning!
Seminars on the Web = Webinars! NSR is proud to announce the first of many webinars to come! The Importance of Validating Rescuers. This is an issue that has faced not only Samoyed Rescue but all breed rescues and species rescues as well! Mary Beth Duerler, coordinator of Responsible Pet Ownership Alliance (RPOA), has been working with shelters to help create a validation process to assure them that the rescuers on RPOA's list in Texas are ones they can trust to do right by the animals. Unfortunately this has become an increasingly pressing issue. This is a question and answer seminar in the forums. So start thinking of quesitons you'd like to ask! Mark Your Calendars for Feb 15 -23 to join us in the forums (you don't have to register to participate in this one) Feel free to pass this along to other dog rescue groups, breed clubs, shelters, rescue for other species (cats, hampster, elephants, you name it!) as this is an issue everyone is facing, not just Samoyed Rescue. LIMITED EDITION PRINTS
Insurance is only one of many expenses NSR hopes to help rescuers with through subsidies -- therefore, we have a few fundraisers up our sleeves! The money raised will go to NSR so we can look at potentially offering more subsidies to the affiliates this year! AUCTION TIME!
We are scheduling an eBay auction to benefit NSR and the NSR Affiliates in late March! For those familiar with how rescue auctions have worked in the past at the Nationals, this will be similar. Items can either be donated to a specific affiliate or NSR. Each affiliate will receive all the funds from the items listed for them directly. If NSR is listed, it will go to the general fund to bring more benefits to rescuers (subsidies really are at the top of the list at this point). The NSR Affiliates currently are: Central Florida Samoyed Rescue, Inc.; Delaware Valley Samoyed Rescue; Minuteman Samoyed Club Rescue; Northern Illinois Samoyed Assistance; Samoyed Club of Central Arizona Rescue; Samoyed Rescue of Southern California; San Francisco Samoyed Rescue; St. Louis Samoyed Rescue; Tarheel Samoyed Club Rescue; and Wonderland Samoyed Safe Haven. BOWLING for SMILES
Wonderland Samoyed Safe Haven will be having a Bowling For Smiles fundraiser at the Royal Scot Golf & Bowl on W. Grand River Hwy in Lansing, MI at 1:30pm on March 26, 2006.
