Each year, Samoyed Club of America holds a National Specialty -- basically a dog show just for Samoyeds and a big party. Anyone is welcome to attend.
Rescue dogs can participate in virtually everything at the national except the show ring - there's agility, weight pulls, herding, obedience, and the rescue parade. For the owners there are also lots of things to do - events, shopping!, seminars, and generally getting to know other folks who love the breed as well.
