Hello Sammy Enthusiasts!

We at Wonderland Samoyed Safe Haven here in Michigan had an excellent holiday fundraiser this year by manning a gift wrapping booth at Barnes & Noble in Grand Rapids. While it was a rousing success, it would've been even more so if we'd had more volunteers. By more successful I mean DOUBLING the donations we received! Now that's what I call "more successful"!

We are planning on doing this again throughout the month of December 2006 at three Barnes & Noble locations instead of just one. Grand Rapids, Flint, & Northville, Michigan. Barnes & Noble does require that we commit to our dates early in order to reserve the most profitable dates. I know it sounds way early, but we are hoping to have everyone's info and commitments by August 15th so as to not lose out on the dates that you/we want.

Please break out those brand new calendars and let us know what days of the week in December would be good for you to help us out by wrapping gifts, educating the public about rescue, checking receipts, etc. Email us your contact information, your idea of what days/times you could help, and which of the three locations is most conveniet for you to cari@wssh.org. Please note that shifts usually run from 11am to 4pm and 4pm to 9pm and well behaved Sammies are welcome. Come join us!

We're looking forward to meeting a whole bunch of new Sammy Supporters this coming holiday season! Thank you all so much!

Hello Samoyed Enthusiasts!

I just wanted to let everyone know that in light of new information about when Barnes and Noble begins taking reservations for groups to raise funds by giftwrapping during the Christmas season WSSH would like to extend the deadline for volunteers to August 15th, 2006. This will give us time to coordinate a schedule for submission to Barnes & Noble that is convenient to our treasured volunteers. The extension will also allow our volunteers to have a better idea of what their holiday schedules will look like.

Thanks so much in advance for your help!
