AVID is having a one-time only 1/2 price sale on chips. I don't know how long the sale is on. You have to buy 50 chips--no more and no less. But the price is only about $5.25, which includes the adopter's registration fee. It's a great deal. Regular price, including registration for the adopter, is $10.50 per chip. We lucked out because I was going to put in a new order anyway.
If you want to order, you have to call their nonprofit sales number: 1-800-336-2843.
You must be a 501c3 nonprofit to purchase the chips.
Hmmm. Are there any NSR recognized groups that are not a 501c3? If so, and you are interested in some of these chips, perhaps NSR could purchase some and distribute them. (FYI, NSR would be the registered group on the chip, though.) Another thought is that NSR could purchase 50 chips and give a few to any new rescues starting out.
