Lexi passed over the Rainbow Bridge on November 29, 2008 at the age of 14 and a half. She is remembered and mourned by all who knew and loved her but especially by her "mom" Deb Thompson and "little sis" Mishka. Lexi was rescued at 9 months in Los Cruces, NM by Ann Daugherty and was placed in her forever home shortly after. The adoption was arranged on SAMFANS and was the first Samoyed "rescue" that I know of that was facilitated via the Internet.

Because of Lexi, Deb became involved in rescue and handled the correspondence for the national rescue group for a couple of years and helped to coordinate Samoyed rescue in North Carolina. Lexi had a unique personality and a penetrating bark that could peel paint. She ruled over her queendom with a velvet paw and when she loved someone it was forever. Lexi was brave and independent up to the end. Her memory will always be cherished. Godspeed sweet princess.
